Pricing Options

Progressive Design software offers the lowest prices possible with additional cost-savings options to protect your investment over the long term. Regardless of which mix of services you choose, the price is low, fixed, and known from Day 1. What we quote is what you pay, guaranteed. And because PDS only builds custom solutions, the application, source code, and related intellectual property always belong to you. Also, please read our pricing comparison article when comparing PDS to other vendors.

With Progressive Design Full Service, one of our analysts will help you define the system that meets your needs. The definition will be deliberately high level. Instead of lists of tables and screens, a PDS project definition includes phrases like 'enter and print invoices, then accept payment.' Broad definitions give us plently of room to work within the project definition document to fully meet your needs. The goal is to eliminate the phrase: "That wasn't in the scope document, we'll have to charge you extra." After delivery, a 60 day warranty period is included to cover any problems that might arise.

When the analysis is complete, PDS will supply you with a fix-cost proposal. The proposal will divide the development into milestones. The first milestone is always Proposal Signing and the last is Delivery. Small projects may have only 2 milestones, while larger projects may include 6 or more. The total cost of the system is distributed across the milestones.

The Platinum Maintenance Plan is designed to allow your PDS software to be truly worry free, and it is available on every system PDS builds. Platinum Maintenance includes all the features you would expect from a maintenance plan and much more. If any errors are discovered during your maintenance period, PDS will quickly prepare a Service Pack release for your application to solve the problem. In addition, PDS will work with your staff to identify new features required to maximize the value of your application. PDS will develop these features and upgrade your system with quarterly upgrades. Each quarterly upgrade may contain:
Unlimited new fields.  The need to store new pieces of information about the various entities tracked by your system is endless. So with the Platinum Maintenance plan, you can accommodate all those new fields without worrying about price.
Up to 5 New Reports.  As you use your new system, you will discover new ways to think about your business. Adding new reports each quarter will give you the tools to view your data in powerful new ways.
Up to 3 New Processes.  The functionality of your system will grow over time. New lines of business or simply better ways of doing business will lead to the need for new processing capabilities.
New System Entities.  Every object in your system (person, account, payment, etc.) is considered an entity. While most system evolution can by handled by adding new fields to existing entities, more sweeping change will require new entities. The Platinum Maintenance Plan allows you to add up 10% of the number of entities in your original system every quarter and we always round up. So if your original system had 53 entities, you can add up to 6 new entities each quarter. To make sure smaller systems have room to grow, all Platinum subscribers can add 3 entities per quarter regardless of the size of the original system.
Pricing
The annual cost of a Platinum Maintenance will be determined at the same time as the cost for your system. Maintenance plan costs are paid annually. The first annual payment will be due 60 days after delivery of your system (the end of the warranty period). To protect you over the long term, you will know the cost for each year of your Platinum Maintenance plan up-front. Of course, the Platinum plan is completely optional and is not required for any PDS project.
